Genasis was influenced by legendary figures like Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Jay-Z. At 19, Otis made the bold decision to pursue a career in music. O.T. Genasis quickly gained recognition from industry legend 50 Cent, and in 2011, he was signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records label and released a mixtape.
